Sashiko Upcycling Workshop
🧵 This was a workshop by Slow-Fashion designer Sarah Weniger, who runs the Slow-Fashion Label "saraLess“. In this Japanese upcycling artform called Sashiko, where one learns how to mend and upcycle clothes in one's own style through colourful patterns.

It was great to see some people bring their own clothes to upcycle. Some people tried it for the first time ever and found the hands-on experience quite soothing. Thanks for making this an evening of creativity, fun and artistic upcycling!

Sustainability Retreat (NHWeekend)
The weekend retreat is a yearly tradition where we plan the next Sustainability Week. This is open to all students from Zurich's universities. This year, we had various activities to brainstorm our upcoming sustainability week in April including a group poster making competition, presentations and 2-min sustainability theatre by the lake. Not only that, we also went rowing on Greifensee, played games and also learnt how to do swing dance.

This was an event meant for welcoming new students into the Verein/association. This was also teh opening event of the summer after the General Assembly in June. Thanks for attending it, sharing nice moments and discussing sustainability. This took place on 31.07.25 (Th) in the Barbecue Place in Irchel Park.

General Assembly 2025
The General Assembly of 2025 took place in May 2025 (28.05.25 Wed) at the ZKSD (Zurich Knowledge Centre for Sustainable Development). This was attended by Lead Team members, official representatives from Zurich's universities UZH, UZH, ZHAW, PHZH and ZHdK and other students.
The Lead Team is now an official part of the constitution replacing Kernteam/coreteam. President of NHWZ 2024-5 Jan Mantsch tabled the Annual Report which was accepted, and he conducted elections for the new Lead Team and Presidency. The Lead Team voted for the new Co-Presidency made of Ana-Isabelle Leicht (PHZH), Ashoka Vardhan Manchala (UZH) and Jimmy Weber (UZH & ETH).
All students of these universities are eligible to vote and are welcome to the General Assembly of the Verein/Association.
